February Trail Maintenance Days

We will have a January trail maintenance makeup day on February 7, 2010, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The February trail maintenance day is scheduled for February 28, 2010, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

We will meet at the parking lot kiosk. Bring some digging tools if you have them.

Come out and enjoy the park.

The latest report from the park says the trails are wet and extremely muddy. We will be hiking in to the work sites so bring a pair of boots, the more water resistant the better. We have staged some timber on the shore line that needs to be carried around 1/4 of a mile to the site. Each board is estimated to be 70 pounds so if you were planning to go to the gym Sunday you can skip it and get your workout in at the Ridge.

Reminder that we will have a "take your shovel for a hike" work day at the Ridge this Sunday. Meet at the kiosk at 11:00 am. Of course, bring hiking boots and a shovel if you have one. The forecast calls for sunshine so come out and enjoy the park. We need to drain some of the mud holes before traffic starts to pick up on the trails this spring.
